Adrian Community

Adrian is the home of three accredited institutions of higher learning: Adrian College, Jackson College, and Siena Heights University. There are 10 universities and colleges within a 50-mile radius including the University of Michigan.

Within a 25 mile radius are more than 35 beautiful lakes where the public may enjoy picnics, swimming, and camping, with golf courses nearby. Driving northwest for 20 minutes brings one to the famous Irish Hills region - a glorious panorama of 100 square miles of lakes, hills, and woods. The Irish Hills area is also home to Michigan International Speedway and Hidden Lake Gardens.

The City of Adrian maintains many park facilities including a municipal pool and lighted softball and baseball diamonds. There is a YMCA that serves the entire county which is located in Adrian.

Fine Arts opportunities are abundant with the historic Croswell Opera House/Art Gallery, the Adrian Symphony Orchestra, the Adrian High School Theater, art galleries and music performances at both Adrian College and Siena Heights University, and an annual "Art-A-Licous" outdoor festival which highlights the historic downtown business district as well as the many arts organizations in the community.
