Adrian Community Education Center offers two programs for students: Adrian Adult Education and Adrian Community High School.

Adrian Adult Education is for students to earn their high school diploma or prepare for the G.E.D.
[Must be 20 by September 1st]

Adrian Community High School allows students to participate at the LISD Tech Center and complete online courses. This program has limited space.

Overview

Adrian Community Education Center is composed of two programs for students.

Adrian Adult Education is for students who are at least 20 years old by September 1st for the upcoming school year. In this program a student may earn their high school diploma or prepare for the G.E.D test. However, Adrian Community Education Center is not a G.E.D testing center. To take the test you must go to https://ged.com to sign up.

Adrian Community High School is for students who are ages 17-21 years of age. In addition students may enroll if they are under the age of 21 by September 1st for the upcoming school year.

The program offers students the opportunity to participate at the LISD Tech Center, take virtual courses, and traditional courses.

This program has limited space and slots are first awarded to students from Adrian Public Schools with permission from the Adrian High School Principal as well as the Adrian Community Education Center Director.

There will be limited School of Choice slots, but please fill out the application form and School of Choice form online.

Alternative Education

Alternative Education/High School Completion

Classes are available for those students under 20 years of age, who are looking to receive their high school diploma. During these classes you will complete courses such as: Mathematics, English, Science, Social Studies, and electives needed to meet the requirements to receive a high school diploma.

Tuesday: 8:15 AM - 2:15 PM
Wednesday: 8:15 AM - 2:15 PM
Thursday: 8:15 AM - 2:15 PM
Friday: 8:15 AM - 1:15 PM

Adult Education/High School Completion

Adult Education/High School Completion/GED

Classes are available for adults (20+ years old) who are looking to receive their high school diploma. During these classes you will complete courses in English, Mathematics, Social Studies, Science and elective courses which will lead to your high school diploma.

GED Preparation

These classes will help prepare and assist you with the knowledge needed to take the GED exam.

During these classes you will learn essential GED skills and complete practice tests that will determine your readiness.

Monday: 8:15 AM - 12:15 PM; 3:00 PM - 5:30 PM
Tuesday: 8:15 AM -12:15 PM; 3:00 PM - 5:30 PM
Wednesday: 8:15 AM -12:15 PM; 3:00 PM - 5:30 PM
Thursday: 8:15 AM - 12:15 PM; 3:00 PM - 5:30 PM

Documents Needed

Adults (20+ years old)

  • High school transcript
  • Birth certificate
  • Proof of residency (Utility bill or official mail addressed with your name and address or the name of the person that you live with and address)
  • Social Security Number (You do not have to bring your card)
